Amy Richinson geniously takes the true memoirs of her most beloved dog and turns it into a breath-taking, action-packed story with a deep life changing message for every reader. The opening scene sets the book up and the reader will instantly connect to the small innocent, spirited puppy who desires more than anything in the world to simply know she is loved. As the charismatic puppy, Precious, enters into a brand new world she sets out on some breath-taking adventures which are captured on every page. The descriptive language utilized throughout each scene helps to build the suspense and leads to the greatly anticipated climax. The emotional fonts jump off each page to help to bring each chapter to life. As each page is turned each reader will continue to relate to the inner thoughts and questions that Precious continues to ask herself about her identity and worth. It is for children and adults as it tells of their adventures together and reflects how we too, no matter what, are God's beloved, precious children! It’s all about identity and how important is to know how loved and special we are. I was especially moved by the colorful illustrations and how they evoked such powerful emotions. Clever idea to include the book club discussion questions and the end. I could easily see this book as a favorite among young school-aged children.
